Kate Middelton VS Grace Kelly...Which Gown Would You Rather Wear??

    Okay so I taped the royal wedding back in April and  sometimes I watch it again lol. I guess its because I haven't been to a wedding since I was 12 years old! I remember hearing the press, magazines, and websites say that Kate Middeltons wedding gown looked a lot like Grace Kellys wedding gown....
 I only looked this up about a week ago online.. and it it does! I love both their wedding dresses actually. I would totally wear Grace Kelly's wedding dress for my own wedding! When it comes to wedding dresses it gets to be a very personal thing for us, even more so than the theme of the wedding itself.  For my wedding I know I'm probably going to wear a wedding gown from the fifties! I love wedding dresses from the fifties! I love them because they all have some sort of straps, halter top, or off the shoulder straps that can hold the bodice of the dress up,and their very full.  I've noticed that with a lot of the gowns of today, the dresses are strapless. I couldn't deal with a strapless gown.. During the ceremony I think with any woman we'd be pulling it up over and over again. At least if you have some sleeves or straps attached to your dress you can guarantee the bodice of the dress will stay where its supposed to be.

Also I feel with a vintage wedding gown, the gowns of 40 and 50 years ago did more for your figure than the gowns of today do now. On the whole the gowns of today are strapless with an A-line skirting or their just slinky.. Neither one is too flattering to a woman's figure. Maybe thats just me... I just feel that its time for a change! I think I've only seen a winter wedding gown like once or twice.....I suppose the winter is a miserable time to get married, but at the same time its kind of romantic too.... Having a little bit of snow on the trees in the backround in your wedding photos, but then again you could sweat to death in a long sleeved gown... I guess thats one of the pros of having a strapless wedding gown right? No sweat stains from the underarms.. As a bride I could imagine its nerve wracking on the day of your wedding! Therefore you sweat a lot more. Whatever the case... When you think about it, wedding dresses are a very personalized thing.... Its the one day you can look as formal or as casual as you want in the dress you choose to wear... I already know I'm going to wear a big ballgown wedding dress of some sorts, ha.. But when it comes to choosing between 2 gorgeous gowns like Kate Middeltons, and Grace Kellys..They are both gorgeous!

THE WEDDING OF MY DREAMS! AND PROBABLY YOURS TOO!

As girls I'd say most of us dream of what our wedding will be like
someday.Now a days not every wedding has to be held in the traditional wedding hall like it used to be.. Now so more than ever brides everywhere of all different ages are creating their own unique experiences to have on their wedding day.  Some brides have a garden wedding, others prefer a beach wedding, then some would love to get married in a castle!  To be honest with you... I haven't ever really thought about it until I found these photos! Back in March I attended the Philadelphia flower show, and I gotta say this display was inspirational! I was in awe of the beauty of this wedding. The title of this display was called Fantasy wedding. I love the pink flowers going down the aisle... I'm a flower freak actually... I have a garden of my very own that I planted this spring and summer that I am going to upload photos of very soon. My favorite flowers are dahlias,irises, and roses...If this were my wedding I'd have tons and tons of irises and roses everywhere down the aisle!  If you live in the Metropolitan area or in Pennsylvania please visit this flower show! It will knock your socks off! It truly is a sight to see.

Bridal Fantasy: Look "Like A Virgin" on Your Big Day!

This Madonna album cover is great! I love the dress..This look could work for the big day you'd just have to change a few things obviously. Maybe the hair,and a little less jewlery, and instead of the boy toy belt get the necklace! You could get the "boy toy" necklace encrusted in Swarovski Crystal. If ya got the bucks get a custom made boy toy necklace in silver and crystals. I love the tulle skirt with the little hearts on it! Thats so fun. The Virgin look could work for prom also.A classic never dies!

I Love this look! She looks absolutely stunning! An old vintage 50's wedding gown or strapless 50's gown would help you to achieve the look of this hot bride on your wedding day, and to do your eyes in dramatic eye makeup and false lashes would achieve this look as well. Don't for get the dark hair styled in a sexy 50's bubble cut! enjoy..

Scarlett’s Wedding Night:

It Girls, Let’s Face it, we all want to be Scarlett in some way! Why Not really do it. What better occasion to look like Scarlett in this pic than for your wedding? Or even prom for that matter! This famous scene of Scarlett getting laced up would be perfect for Bridal lingerie. Instead of that tacky cheap Victoria’s Secret G String and Wonder Bra, Why Not wear something like this under your wedding gown. A simple corselet or corset, a chemise, and a Bridal Petticoat like this one! It’s perfect it’s not too puffy, it would be easy to move around in, and then when you (or your man) takes your gown off on the wedding night you’ll look great! And then he can unpeel the layers. It won’t just be a G-string and push up bra. That look is so out! Scarlett’s back!

Hair & Makeup: Doesn’t her hair look beautiful here? It’s set in beautiful pin curls and just cascades down her shoulders like a goddess. Her makeup is beautiful too. Notice that Scarlett isn’t tan, and she’s gorgeous! You don’t have to be tan to be sexy, girls. If you don’t have a tan it doesn’t mean you look like Casper, I don’t know who invented that saying but obviesouly that person has no idea what their talking about! They’ve never seen Scarlett! How come we don’t wear hair like this on our wedding day? Or prom? Why do we keep on looking like clowns with bright pink lip gloss & heavy blue & green eye shadow, yuck! Natural looking makeup and these adorable curls would do the trick for your wedding or prom and it’s a cheap and easy way to save money instead of going to the salon and dropping all that $.It Girls, Take that extra $ and buy yourself some diamonds. You deserve it!

If you decide to make your Scarlett’s wedding night try making it out of real antique fabrics like antique silk brocade, this can be your something old! If you need a pattern there are vintage and antique pattern websites where you could find either a petticoat pattern or a corset pattern, otherwise McCall’s, Vogue, & Butterick have just fine corset patterns. Add some antique lace to your bridal veil as well, or trim your petticoat and corset with some it will truly make a difference in the way it looks. If you do not decide to make your Scarlett’s wedding night and buy it instead there are antique clothing dealers on the web that sell fabulous Scarlett Lingerie for great prices.
