Fall 2011 Boots From the Victorias Secret Catalog! I'm so in Love!

 






I wish I never got the mail today!
Occasionally I'll get another Victorias Secret catalog every now and then in the mail , and usually I just throw them out because it clutters up my room... But today???? I fell in love!!!!!! These are some of  the cutest boots I've ever seen!!!!! I'm so in trouble now, because I know I'm going to buy like 3 or 4 pairs of boots from this magazine.... Usually VS doesn't have boots that are all that great... But this season??? Wow!! I forgot that we are in the middle of August soon to be entering the end of August.. In September, October, and November,those are the months all the hot boots start getting stocked up on the shelves! This is terrible.... I have such a weakness for boots...Check out these pix of the adorable boots from my issue of the Victorias Secret fall catalog.. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I love these boots!!!!!

Kate Middelton VS Grace Kelly...Which Gown Would You Rather Wear??

    Okay so I taped the royal wedding back in April and  sometimes I watch it again lol. I guess its because I haven't been to a wedding since I was 12 years old! I remember hearing the press, magazines, and websites say that Kate Middeltons wedding gown looked a lot like Grace Kellys wedding gown....
 I only looked this up about a week ago online.. and it it does! I love both their wedding dresses actually. I would totally wear Grace Kelly's wedding dress for my own wedding! When it comes to wedding dresses it gets to be a very personal thing for us, even more so than the theme of the wedding itself.  For my wedding I know I'm probably going to wear a wedding gown from the fifties! I love wedding dresses from the fifties! I love them because they all have some sort of straps, halter top, or off the shoulder straps that can hold the bodice of the dress up,and their very full.  I've noticed that with a lot of the gowns of today, the dresses are strapless. I couldn't deal with a strapless gown.. During the ceremony I think with any woman we'd be pulling it up over and over again. At least if you have some sleeves or straps attached to your dress you can guarantee the bodice of the dress will stay where its supposed to be.

Also I feel with a vintage wedding gown, the gowns of 40 and 50 years ago did more for your figure than the gowns of today do now. On the whole the gowns of today are strapless with an A-line skirting or their just slinky.. Neither one is too flattering to a woman's figure. Maybe thats just me... I just feel that its time for a change! I think I've only seen a winter wedding gown like once or twice.....I suppose the winter is a miserable time to get married, but at the same time its kind of romantic too.... Having a little bit of snow on the trees in the backround in your wedding photos, but then again you could sweat to death in a long sleeved gown... I guess thats one of the pros of having a strapless wedding gown right? No sweat stains from the underarms.. As a bride I could imagine its nerve wracking on the day of your wedding! Therefore you sweat a lot more. Whatever the case... When you think about it, wedding dresses are a very personalized thing.... Its the one day you can look as formal or as casual as you want in the dress you choose to wear... I already know I'm going to wear a big ballgown wedding dress of some sorts, ha.. But when it comes to choosing between 2 gorgeous gowns like Kate Middeltons, and Grace Kellys..They are both gorgeous!

THE WEDDING OF MY DREAMS! AND PROBABLY YOURS TOO!

As girls I'd say most of us dream of what our wedding will be like
someday.Now a days not every wedding has to be held in the traditional wedding hall like it used to be.. Now so more than ever brides everywhere of all different ages are creating their own unique experiences to have on their wedding day.  Some brides have a garden wedding, others prefer a beach wedding, then some would love to get married in a castle!  To be honest with you... I haven't ever really thought about it until I found these photos! Back in March I attended the Philadelphia flower show, and I gotta say this display was inspirational! I was in awe of the beauty of this wedding. The title of this display was called Fantasy wedding. I love the pink flowers going down the aisle... I'm a flower freak actually... I have a garden of my very own that I planted this spring and summer that I am going to upload photos of very soon. My favorite flowers are dahlias,irises, and roses...If this were my wedding I'd have tons and tons of irises and roses everywhere down the aisle!  If you live in the Metropolitan area or in Pennsylvania please visit this flower show! It will knock your socks off! It truly is a sight to see.

My Beach Bumm Essentials

Oh My Gosh! This past week had some of the hottest days of the summer so far if not in history!! I usually get up early, and do a 3 mile walk in the park for my daily dose of exercise each day, but this week? No way! Its just been awful... Hot weather and bright warm sunshine only mean one thing in this summer heat, and that's taking a trip down to the beach... I love the beach! I love soaking up the sun, and getting my toes wet in the water., then after wards getting a delicious cocktail from the nearby beach bar. I have only  a few beach essentials that I always take along with me.. Of course I  bring the bare essentials like sunblock, a umbrella so I don't burn out on that sand, and a pair of shades. But let me show you what else I bring to the beach with me....

I love this suit!! Its not a 2 piece as you can see but it looks great! I'm inlove with the vintage look of this suit. You don't have to wear a 2 piece string bikini to look sexy on the beach. I just love how this suit looks very pinup girl and classic. Its a DKNY that I bought from a designer outlet store on sale!

These shoes match the suit so perfectly! These are a pair of Andrew Gellar shoes. I found them at Designer Shoe Warehouse. ( one of my favorite stores by the way!) I love how they look vintage but have a modern twist to them at the same time. Plus I love to rock metallic accessories throughout the summer months! I love to look sparkly in the summer and what screams sparkly more than metallics.

I LOVE this bag! Its "BetseyVille" by Betsey Johnson.  I think this is a great summer beach bag because its made out of a water proof and sand proof material.... Bringing a real leather bag to the beach can kill the leather and make it fade out... You always need a good water proof and sand proof bag to bring to the beach. I also love how this bag can be so versatile. It can be worn for day or night and it has a lot of room in it to store everything you need like sunblock, shades, makeup, etc.

Ahh yes.. and finally of course I always need to include my I-pod. I got the silver one! The silver one matches my shoes ha. It goes in there with the metallic category, and it looks so chic. I don't carry around one of those giant rhinestone encrusted I-pod holders. I'm thinking about getting one maybe someday. For now I'm very happy with my silver I-pod. When hanging on the beach you need some music to listen to while laying in the sun....So I always bring my I-pod along with me on my beach vacations.

I have the new issue of National Geographic and who do I see on the cover but Cleopatra! It inspired me so much to tell you about this!!! She has so much jewelry! I was looking at a few pics of the Cleopatra jewels they featured in the magazine. She has a snake bracelet, and snake earrings!! I love it!!! Cleopatra has to be in my opinion one of the sexiest women who ever lived!! She had the best makeup, the best jewels, and captured the hearts of 2 of the most powerful men in Egypt!! I can't wait! HOW TO WEAR MAKEUP WITHOUT LOOKING EMBALMED! & LOOKING NATURAL WITHOUT LOOKING HAGGARD

Hi Everyone!

After writing my blog on money management last night I was pondering on the part about makeup.... That there are many ways to wear it....Some people think there is only one way to wear it, and they mistake that for ”CAKEY!!!!!!”..... Wearing foundation, concealer, powder, blush, and highlighter can seem like packing or “caking” it on... But you are mistaken! Theres a way to wear it.... If you don't know already lemme refresh your memory! Cuz if your a girl I know you've worn makeup at least once in your lifetime.. As you probably already know:

Foundation and moisturizer work to hold everything else you put on your face in place... and it evens out your skin tone.. Concealer gets rid of shadows and that tired look underneath your eyes, it also covers up zits, the powder gets rid of the shine from the foundation and concealer... Blush gives ya some color so you don't look like your dying.... and thats the basic makeup application.. the rest like eye stuff, and lip stuff, and highlighter is just there to accent features if you'd like to..But those basics of makeup I just mentioned make a HUGE difference in looking dead or alive for the rest of the day ha.

NATURAL BEAUTY
#1.) Keep your hair and your skin tone natural!!! If your olive stay olive don't try to turn your beautiful olive skin into orange skin, if your pale stay pale!! If your a darker skin tone stay that way!! part of being beautiful is having your natural beauty mushed in while wearing makeup... part of whats wrong with the way Snookie looks is that she turned her skin pigment orange and her hair is Purple black....Its too extreme to look at during the day. Part of whats wrong with the way Joan rivers looks is that shes had 5 or 10 new noses within the past 2 years!!!... Just keep your hair, skin and facial features the way God gave em to ya... NATURAL!!!!!!!

Here Katie Holmes is wearing a gorgeous natural daytime look. This is a perfect example of looking natural without looking haggard or cakey.

In this pic Lindsay Lohan shows us her natural beauty before she dyed her hair blonde... If I'm not mistaken I do believe that is her NATURAL Hair color with a few highlights.You know like I know she shoulda stayed a red head/strawberry blonde... OH WELL!

2.)ACCENT YOUR PRETTIEST FEATURES!!!!!
I know it sounds so cliché.... But lemme break it down so that it makes sense... Cuz I know when I heard that saying I rolled my eyes and said yea right...lol.. This goes for your body too.... We all have a certain something that makes us attractive! For me its my ebony eyes that bounce off my pale skin...Its a great combination.. and I go out of my way to show it off... I do smokey eyes with a pretty pale pink blush and pale lip...I love the nude lipstick colors cuz it makes my eyes look even darker! If your Olive buy bronzer damnet! and wear it!! lollz. I wish I could wear bronzer without looking nuts but I know because I'm so pale its not going to work.. : (...Red lipstick goes if your pale also... If your olive the pastel and dark neutral eyeshadow colors look really good on you...Take light blue for example.. I look like an 80's chick in light blue shadow lol. But If your darker it looks so much prettier!..

HEIGHT: I'm 5” 10” I didn't realize the value of being tall till recently so if your tall wear heels!

CURVES: If your naturally busty take advantage damnet! If your busty you don't have to buy the bras with layers and layers of padding! ha You can buy the little lacey ones and still be busty....and corsets look good on the busty girls too!

BIG EYES: If you have big brown eyes or big blue eyes, Green, etc Smoke them out!! Smokey eyes look so gorgeous and nobody wears it! Snookie is a bad example of a smokey eye...... Not that she looks bad but it scares a lot of women off who wanna give the look a try...If your eyes are blue line them in white underneath and in the tear duct...White liner looks so pretty on blue eyes!

Here Christina shows us a smokey eye and accents her curves. I'd love ta look like that minus the piercings... I feel the tan works better if your a blonde rather than a brunette..



SCENT: Part of an attraction we have to someone is their scent!!! Like makeup, Fragrance is among one of the misconstrued beauty products out there... First off NO... YOU WILL NOT SMELL LIKE YOUR GRANDMOTHER IF YOU WEAR PERFUME!!!!!.....2.) If your man complains about the way your perfume smells get rid of him! Perfume is there to make YOURSELF feel beautiful! And there are men out there who appreciate it.. Their just few and far between... : (

Chanel 5 has a negative stigma... I like Chanel 5! It was my first perfume I ever owned and I used up the whole bottle numerous times!! Yes Chanel is a floral fragrance but I wouldn't say it smells old lady.. But I wouldn't suggest a 15 yr old buying it either.. Kids wanna smell like kids...Apples, pears, bubblegum, and tropical.. For whatever reason Young girls wanna smell like a tropical Island and like the inside of a Hollister store... Its not a bad thing, its just an acquired taste the way Chanel 5 is an acquired taste....If your in your early to mid 20's like me...You start to develop an appreciation for fine fragrances.

....I personally like to smell like a sophisticated woman... .I'm getting into the musks now ha... Chanel 5 is a great perfume cuz it lasts!!! I've bought too many perfumes that you spritz half the bottle on and you can't smell a thing.... For a while I was debating wearing mens cologne... Cologne is awesome!!! It all smells so good!!! Especially that Axe Cologne!!! I'd love a perfume to come out that smelled like Mens Axe deodorant spray!! haa.... If I made my own perfume thats what it'd smell like. It'd be Mens Axe deodorant spray in a perfume bottle basically. ha

SHOP-AHOLIC REHAB!!!!! Tips for Money Management when all ya really wanna do is spend it

Hi Everyone!

Happy post fourth of July to you! Hope you had an awesome holiday weekend. I guess my heads been in the clouds lately. Especially in the realm of shopping! Shopping is tough isn't it?? Well scratch that...If your a multi billionaire shopping is probably heaven on earth haa. But me? I try as hard as I can to budget, but I gotta tell ya, I hate it! lolz If budgeting were so simple everyone would be doing it. Right? heres a list of my theories on how I spend $$!

1.) ITS NOT WHAT YOU MAKE ITS WHAT YOU KEEP! !!: Save 10 or even 20 bucks a week and in 5 weeks you'll have $50.00 if you put away $20.00 for 5 weeks thats 100.00! Spend half, save half, and when shopping leave your credit cards at home, that way if you feel like buying impulsively you'll be doing yourself a favor by having no cards in your wallet. Except debit cards(cuz thats cash)... But I'm talkin about Amex here!! The evil credit cards!! Truly being broke is better than borrowing money you don't have!!!! Save a pile of cash and borrow from that..

2.) EMBRACE THE KNOCKOFFS!! The Burberry coat is a perfect example of this.... A typical Burberry coat is over $1,000.00 I was going to get one but I checked out some of their coats and found none that caught my eye this season... Plus my ultimate dream is to travel Europe within the next year, and go ta Hawaii for 3 weeks in 2013. I think I'd rather blast a few G's on Europe and Hawaii then spend $1000.00 on a lousy coat!.I'd be better off spending $100.00 on a coat that LOOKS like a Burberry coat. Bottom line is all because its a big brand name doesn't mean its not a huge waste of money...

3.)WHATS IMPORTANT TO YOU??? I ask myself this question all the time before spending money. Whether its on shoes, investments for my business, or a new shirt to wear...Will I use this product over and over again? How will it benefit my life? etc, etc. Now don't get the wrong idea. I love luxury and lavishness as much as Warren Buffet does!! But in real life money does not grow on trees!! Its a discipline we all learn some time.. I guess my thing is saving up a pile of cash then blasting it on a lavish vacation : ) and..... I tend ta blast money on makeup and jewelry too!
: D Why???
Because its the one affordable product that can make you look great even if your wearing rags. You could be wearing sweatpants with a plain white t-shirt, and look stunning so long as your hair and your face look great.. Thats the Glory of makeup and hair stuff!... Plus you get a ton of use out of it every day so that its not a waste of money, and you feel pretty and like a movie star on a tight budget!. To me that alone is worth the money I spend on cosmetics.
My personal theory is.. Keep your face and your hair looking good and it doesn't matter what your wearing.. The first thing people see when they look at you is your face! remember that!

As Marilyn Monroe said in her autobiography the minute she applied mascara and the red lipstick was as though she put on a dazzling evening gown for the first time. and shes right! : D

Those are my tips! Their religious actually... ha.. I 'm not going to sugar coat it though.. Its not easy at all.... Its one hell of a time saving cash! ZEROO FUNN and huge sacrifice!!: ( but the bottom line is that its real $$$$$$!!! and that its yours.... I suppose having real money is a thing of the past... Maybe I'm just an old fashioned girl from another life....ha... I mean yea sure its good ta have a credit card or two for those emergency times when you really need ta gas up your car if you have no cash.. But as far as the rest of life goes ya don't wanna be up shits creek without a paddle! And living off credit is just that.....

I don't know about you but I consider myself one of Gaga's little monsters! She's one of the first artists of the 21st century to come out who is actually an artist! She thinks outside of the box and that's awesome!! I worship anybody who could think outside of the damn box!! lollz. Cuz too many people live and die inside of that box...
This has to be one of my favorite Gaga videos of all time Judas! I love it because 1 the song is great and 2.. The whole look of the video has this bohemian, biker, middle eastern vibe goin on... I'm addicted to it !I love this look! I think instead of getting myself a double breasted wool, Burberry coat for fall and winter I'm getting myself a leather biker jacket instead: D... Ya gotta admit it looks so much cooler!!

...So Where has IT GIRL been all this time????!!

Hey I'm back!! I'm sure a lot of you are asking yourselves where on earth did she go?????!! Its been a busy and confusing 2-3 years for yours truly... I got a job in December of 08 working in sales in the fashion industry for a while, got laid off, then after a couple months of deciding what to do for the rest of my life I started 3 businesses!!!!! It has taken me up till now to get all of them alive and up off the ground... I sell vintage jewelry on etsy.com, I'm a dealer of antique dolls and doll clothing under the seller name femmebebe on rubylane.com, and just recently I am now a costume designer for puppets!! which I'm still building a website for... I make costumes for rod puppets.... Like the ones in sesame street....and its still growing!! I am so sorry that I abandoned my readers! I've been all over the place these past 2-3 years. Running 3 small businesses is a lot of hard work.... Now I am back on track and back here with all of you!! I'm so excited to be back again!!!! and this time my blog is going to be bigger and better than ever!! I love you all!! and thanks for reading all my crazy little posts on here!! lol It means a lot to me. You all are the best!

Uh Ohh..The Holidays Are Coming

..Its November 10th already and Christmas is on its way, and by the shape this country is in I don't think we'll be seeing very many Coach bags under the tree this year. Now is a time for bargain hunting and creativity. By creativity I mean pull out your sewing machine and knitting needles because we'll be needing them for the next few months. Lately clothes have been way over priced.($32.00 for a sweater from Mandees!) Its cheaper to make your clothes and knit your scarfs for this winter. Also bargain hunting! Shop the internet and poke around inexpensive department stores for what you need, and recycle what you own already to make it new and interesting again. Thats the only advice I can offer for now, and if you do want to splurge, pick one expensive thing you absolutely love. All because money is a little scarce doesn't mean you have to cut yourself off entirely from a beautiful new bag or pair of shoes. Just don't splurge too much!

Halloween It Girl

What are you going to be for Halloween? Halloween is next to X-mas is my most favorite holiday of the year! Its so much fun to get dressed up in a wild costume and collect candy!, lol. I'm to old for that now unfortunatley. If I were to even try to trick or treat now my guess is I wouldn't get any candy, lol. Any way, My advice to all of you is have fun on Halloween! Its not only for little kids..Look the best on Halloween. Have the best costume with the best makeup..It only comes once a year so enjoy it!!

It Girls Beauty Experiment!

I need a new shampoo for my hair. I've tried everything in the drugstores but nothing seems to work! I have very fine hair and I've been trying all different volumizing shampoos but have gotten no great results yet.I have to switch to trying the really expensive stuff. Here is my experiment. I'm going to Sephora and I'm going to try out a few shampoos that have been all over the magazines. Fred Fakkai, Phyto, and Biolage. I probably won't buy them all at once because their so expensive! The experiment will probably take a week or two. I need to find the perfect volumizing shampoo for fine hair. If you have any suggestions I'd greatly aprreciate them. I'm so fed up with my hair! I've heard a lot about that Phyto shampoo but does it really work that well? or is it just a rip off? I think that shampoo is like $24.00 a bottle! So I really want to make sure it works before buying it...P.S. I will write more entries! Its been a busy fall, lol.. Talk to ya soon!

Snow Bunny!

Its already starting to get cold out there! Which means that we have to start getting ready for winter! Winter is the most elongated season of the year! at least 5 months long. I get so frustrated because I get stuck in this groove of wearing sweat pants and sweat shirts all season long! This year I want to make a change. By that I mean look a lot cuter..Like a snow bunny! I think a lot of women dread the winter. It takes a toll on your skin, makes your hair frizzy, and bums all of us out! These clothes will be just the thing to brighten up those dark winter days, and fill you with enthusiasm and energy to look good! Singin in the Rain...

I forgot that theres so much rainy weather in the fall. Finding something comfortable to wear that looks good for rainy weather can be a challenge..I've seen some rain boots but they all look so ugly in my opinion. You know those bright colored rain boots that are rubbery looking.. I wouldn't mind a pair of those in a solid color but I think the prints are too much..Then I see people wearing the bright colored rain boots with their jeans or leggings. They don't look good with jeans! When you go to work on a rainy day wear your rain boots but bring a pair of shoes to change in to when you get there. That way you won't have to wear those glocky rain boots all day long. Those are strictly for outer wear not inner wear. Thats my opinion though..Finding a good raincoat can be hard too, unless its a designer one like this burberry trench on top. Rain boots are by Hunter,"Polermo" Umbrella.

2008 VMA's: Lots of Interesting Events..

Okay, I didn't watch the VMA's last night but from seeing the headlines of the highlights of the show, it looked interesting. Britney is back in the game again as an It Girl which I am very excited about.. as opposed to her VMA disaster last year..She looked great,like a lady..Then Christina! I was looking at comments people wrote on her new look, you either love it or you hate apparently, theres no in between, lol. I don't think she looked terrible, shes still pretty its just a very drastic change from how we're used to seeing her..We've never seen her with bangs before, ever! I think she looks better with out them, she looks more like Christina..You can't see her pretty blue eyes with those bangs in the way! Her eyes are one of her best features, their so blue! I liked her dress and her stage clothes. What did all of you think of the show? or the clothes? or Britney's sweep of awards?

It Girl Inspires Lingerie

Pinups come to mind in this category of It Girl. Almost every market or brand of lingerie is inspired by pinup. Betty page and Dita Von Teese are the most popular pinups Dita being the modern day comeback, and Betty Page being the originator. Who can blame us though! The pinup girls look the best! More than any other It Girl in lingerie does. Pinups carry that combination of class meshed with very sexy. My opinion is that no woman wants to be one or the other. We don't want to look too good, but we don't want to look raunchy either. Lingerie needs a balance of the two to look and make you feel good underneath your clothes. Nobody wants that ugly bright white bra, but we don't want the raunchy fishnet stockings either. One screams old lady the other screams sleep with me now.. (lol) Thats why there are only a few famous lingerie companies, its a challenge to design lingerie just perfect for a mix of good girl with a vixen twist.That is why lingerie designers turn to pinups. They look like nice girls but very sexy at the same time.

Sept.Means Back to School: "Chlorophyll more like Borophyll!"

I hate September! Its the saddest month of the year. You'd think that January or February would be the saddest, but I nominate September as the worst, because you watch the long days and beautiful weather die very slowly. Thats the sad part! No ones at the boardwalk or the beach, you can't even buy anymore summer clothes for yourself because theres not enough time to wear it. Finally school! Going back to school blows. All ya did was make $ and party all summer and it comes to an end for classes about chlorophyll, or trigonometry, just useless classes that nobody cares about! Lets hope that the fall and winter fly by so summer is back in no time.
